THINGS TO DO
Mountain Biking
There are a variety of natural routes and Bridleways in the spectacular Forest of Bowland. Newton, Dunsop Bridge or Slaidburn are all convenient starting points and have car parking facilities, pubs or a cafe for post ride refreshments. In addition there is a dedicated forest facility based in Gisburn Forest which is nearby with a number of dedicated trails for all abilities. There are plans to develop the trails further. (See attached) The forest is an excellent place when the weather is inclement, otherwise the natural trails in the area offer a variety of routes varying from open moorland tracks to challenging climbs and fast single track descents.
