The hall isn't licensed for civil marriage ceremonies, so the legal part of your marriage takes place beforehand at a register office. Many couples then hold a celebrant-led ceremony or blessing at the hall as part of the day - a lovely, personal way to mark the moment - followed by the reception and evening celebration.
